Department: Sovereign Generics

Reports to: Commercial Director

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The International product manager is required to take the leading role in communicating, administrating and directing new generic product developments with a key manufacturer and partner. In part this will consist of controlling a very detailed supply chain and project management system. A high degree of organisational skill and ability is required as will be liaising closely with the quality, regulatory and sales teams, both domestically and abroad. They will be required to ensure the smooth control of the supply chain, distribution, and sales in all the territories, quickly and responsibly managing any issues that may arise.

Establishing, controlling and maintaining local distribution networks across multiple territories is also essential as is the governing of contracts for each specific project. The understanding of multiple local markets and the strict controlling of these markets is vital.

Full project management from its conception to launch is a key responsibility. This would involve detailed and regular communication with worldwide based distributors and possibly local regulatory bodies. The control of a small team of project managers. Organising, controlling conference calls and maintaining a highly detailed project plan are just some of the duties that are required.

Some overseas travel may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, control and launch new products from key partner.
Manage and control amendments and variations to products as required.
Provide data to support portfolio decision making.
Liaise and coordinate with sales management, technical and regulatory colleagues.
Organise product control and development meetings with the relevant teams
Forecasting, planning and stock management
Product analysis, costs vs sales
Organising and controlling of all freight demands
Cataloguing product issues diaries
Analysis of invoices, charge and cost back to product
Raising of supply chain paperwork
Maintaining sight of “true cost of goods”
Maintaining realistic launch timelines and stock replenishment
Product Registration Documentation for all territories
The control of multiple companies in multiple countries.
Marketing and sales in multiple countries.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Preparation and publication of sales and marketing plans
Procurement of Lab consumables
Primary point of contact for key supplier
Implementation of the sales and marketing plan to agreed timelines and costs
Achievement of sales and gross contribution for defined product portfolio
Coordination and project management of all new product pre-launch and post launch activities
Delivery of the Sovereign livery projects to agreed times lines and costs
The understanding of the commercial ramifications of strategic decisions
Reporting to the Head of Generics
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
GCSE’s, A-C, Maths and English essential
A-level
Diploma or business qualifications
Experience & Competences
Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical market
Familiarity and competence in working with the key Microsoft Office software packages plus Adobe Illustrator
Experience of Product maintenance
Experience of the Generics sector

Knowledge & Skills
The understanding of technical and regulatory issues in the pharmaceutical industry controlling the manufacture of medicines
Exposure to the regulations governing the sale and supply of pharmaceutical products
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent negotiating and organisational skills
Ability to problem solve and analysis data
Understanding the influence both technical and regulatory has on the commercial aspects of the business.
