Job Title: Project Engineer
Department: Operations
Reports to: Head of Operations



The prime purpose of this role is to manage the complete life cycle of engineering projects. The project Engineer will act as coordinator dealing with stakeholders across all areas of the project.

You will continually strive to achieve consistent and efficient output whilst maintaining exceptionally high-quality levels. The post holder must be a seasoned project engineer preferably in a GMP controlled environment and have prior knowledge of Pharmaceutical process and packaging particularly solid dose blister packaging and HVAC systems within a controlled environment


  • Commissioning, qualification and validation activities
  • Change control management
  • Provide CAPEX and OPEX analysis
  • Liaising with clients and sub-contractors, ensuring programming and deadlines are met
    Responsible for the health and safety and documentation of the projects
    Use of risk mitigation tools to control risks within projects and prioritise risk to be mitigated
    Ability to develop technical solutions, compliant with requirements within agreed programmes and timescales. Translating a project into practical terms that stakeholders can identify with and which can be implemented by the team.
    Planning and forecasting of the project
    Acquisition of appropriate staff, materials, and equipment
    Liaising with contractors, suppliers and internal company stakeholders
    Keeping the project on schedule ensuring it meets deadlines at each stage
    Keeping the project on budget
    Identifying and managing the project team including training
    Ensuring stakeholder and teams are regularly updated/meetings
    Ongoing reporting of the project progress
    Ensuring that all aspects of the project proceed while adhering to internal company SOPs as well as external regulations and laws (including maintenance of project documentation)
    Troubleshooting problems as they arise – finding efficient and effective solutions
    Maintain relevant safety objectives and legal requirement
    Other duties as assigned

    Previous experience as a project engineer (preferably within a pharmaceutical environment and Blister line packaging. √
    Good engineering qualification √
    Excellent IT skills √

    Ability to work within budgets and deadlines √
    Knowledge & Skills
    Excellent communication, both written and oral English.

    Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites

    Excellent planning and time management skills

    Good team leading /personal skills

    Ability to manage multiple tasks as well as being able to set priorities in order to address as they arise
